Distributed Control
Logosol Distributed Control Network (LDCN)
Proprietary network architecture allows for supervisory control of intelligent servo, stepper, piezo, spindle and I/O nodes over a full-duplex multi-drop high-speed network. Compact packaging, a comprehensive set of standard features for motion and I/O control, and cost effectiveness make these controllers ideal for a broad range of applications.
Intelligent Servo Drives
Digital and analog single-axis motion controllers with integrated servo power amplifiers designed for applications using brushless (AC) or brush-commutated (DC) motors up to 1.5 HP, and for applications requiring sinusoidal control of rotary or linear brushless motors up to 1.5 HP. Devices support coordinated motion of several motors via the Logosol Distributed Control Network and control of up to 31 intelligent servo drives over a multi-drop full duplex RS-485 network. Standard RJ45 connectors and commercially available cables can be used for daisy chaining of modules. Safety features include short circuit protection for the motor and the amplifier, limit switch inputs, hardware stop input, over and under voltage shutdown, and maximum motor output current settings.
Intelligent Stepper Drives
Single-axis intelligent controllers with integrated amplifiers designed for applications using two-phase stepper motors. Up to 31 distributed nodes can be controlled via the Logosol Distributed Control Network. Standard RJ45 connectors and commercially available cables can be used for daisy chaining of modules. Safety features include short circuit protection for the motor and the amplifier, limit switch inputs, hardware stop and home inputs, and motor current control.
Intelligent Piezo Drives
Intelligent Piezo Motor Servo Drives designed for applications requiring a compact, high-resolution positioner. As part of the Logosol Distributed Control Network (LDCN), these devices support coordinated motion of up to 31 intelligent drives over a multi-drop full duplex RS-485 network. Custom labeled as New Focus™ models, these drives have been sold as Intelligent Picomotor™ Control Modules by New Focus™ and Newport Corporation®.
Network I/O Nodes & Joysticks
Digital and analog input and output nodes and joysticks with network supervision capabilities and optional application-specific functionalities.
Network Master Controllers
Powerful, cost-effective, C-Programmable CPU modules developed especially for hosting of Logosol devices developed especially for hosting of Logosol devices as distributed servo, stepper and I/O control nodes. The programming is accomplished via a standard RS-232 port by using Z-World’s Dynamic C® development environment featuring an interactive editor, compiler and source level debugger. The high-performance Rabbit 2000™ microprocessor combined with Logosol’s servo, stepper and I/O nodes offers a versatile platform for a wide range of industrial control applications.
